Non-standard baffle, known as different from standard baffle proposed by Nagata Shinji[1] in stirred tank. It is widely demonstrated by plenty of scholars that standard baffle is just can be a term of reference for design, but not of optimal performance. It is a significant experience to research non-standard baffle, for energy-saving and emission reduction.It is made in two stirred tanks of different diameter (T=476mm and T= 1600mm) that the study of effect of relative length (Lb/T), relative off-bottom distance(Hb/T), relative width(Wb/T), relative off-wall distance (Cb/ T) and number of baffles(nB) on relative just suspension speed (Njs/Njs,0) and power number(Np) and demonstration. And we made the regression calculation.Besides, it is achieved that the study of effect of different baffle dimension parameters on suspension characteristics of solid-liquid system. On getting samples from sampling ports on the side wall, we get the z/H-concentration/mean concentration relative curves, which shows the axial concentration distribution in stirred tanks. The data of particle stacking height at near-wall area and suspension height in several rotational speeds. And we also made the regression calculation as well.Last but not least, it is also made in two stirred tanks of different diameter that the study of effect of unit volume power in just suspension condition (P/V) and power number on baffle coefficient (Kb) and baffle length. We compare the results with a kind of scale-up rules based on unit volume power in just suspension condition (P/V). The study of Xuhuai Ding and Shanshan He put up that the relationship between the unit volume power and tank diameter is P/V ∝ T-0.55,and the relationship between rotate speed and tank diameter is N ∝ T-0.85.This result find that index is smaller than that.
