| In recent years,as seamless steel pipe enterprises of China have increased efforts on technological innovation and investment, raised Technical Equipment Level, and introduced several sets of advanced rolling unit, our steel production increased year by year. As the most important deformation tool for pipe production, MPM(Multi-Stand Pipe Mill) seriously affects the surface quality and production costs. In the rolling process, MPM is influenced by compressive stress, friction and cold and hot alternating stress, so it is strict with the requirements of indicators.Because of its high High technical and manufacturing difficult, we rely on import MPM to meet the demands.But high price seriously affect the production costs, so some domatic pipe enterprises begin to study how to produce MPM by themself.This project designes the composition of mandrel by using smelting and rolling equipment of Anshan Iron and Steel company and combined with the mandrel online ues conditions of Seamless factory of Angang. According to several tests of the composition at laboratory, we optimized heat treatment process,and trial-produced batch of mandrel. We statisticed tracking date to make sure the parameters of the chromium plating layer after determining of the thickness of chromium coationg on the surface of mandrel. Our efforts on tracking the use of on-site prodution determined the measures to improve the service life of the mandrel. Finally we provide steady product quality and reduction of tool costs. |
