Operator training simulator has been adopted by more and more enterprises, played a huge role in staff training, produce good economic and social benefits. In this paper, the research object is based on Lummus OCT process to construct a set of annual output of 25 million tons of propylene OCU device, through in-depth study of the production process, using static and dynamic simulation technology to complete the simulation of the process, and use it as the foundation for the development of the OCU device simulation training system. OCT technology includes C4 feed processing, selective hydrogenation, removal of isobutane, disproportionation, removal of ethylene and propylene refining processes, in addition, steam stripping and regeneration system are also included. In this paper, the whole process for steady state simulation is studied and then the disproportionation reaction, removal of ethylene, propylene removal and steam mentioned regeneration system of the dynamic modeling and simulation are debugged, after the completion of the initial dynamic simulation of the section,C4 feed processing, choose hydrogenation reaction, removal of isobutane and other upstream section connection are overall debugged, then the unit operation training system eventually developed. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. The production process were detailed analyzed, to chemical reaction process of independent reaction number analysis to determine the independent reactions in the reaction system, and then Aspen Plus is used to make steady state simulation and verify the correctness of the result, at the same time, the steady state simulation can also get some data (such as plate temperature, pressure, composition)which is essential to the dynamic simulation.2. The unit model and model parameters of dynamic process are studied. Model structure, pipe network model and control model are also researched. According to the processing parameters, PID parameters are adjusted, and capacity of pipeline flow is also adjusted by the processing parameters. Dynamic simulation is debugged and modified.3. Dynamic simulation results are verified and according to the operation manual, the operation in different conditions and the important parameters of the process equipment are verified. The results show that the dynamic simulation results and design values are basically the same, which proves the accuracy of the dynamic model. After several different verification operations, it is proved that the simulation training system can accurately reflect the dynamic characteristics of the device OCU which can be used to train the staff.
