Flue gas from coal fire plant is a major source of CO2 emission, which raises the greenhouse effect and threatens our life. Thus, study on CO2 capture or reutilization is very important. In this thesis, we will study the new CO2 capture technology which is suitable for capturing CO2 from flue gas in coal fire plant of China Power Investment Corparation.Combining the environment requirement and the characteristic of the plant, we systematically analyzed different CO2 capture technologies and their suitability, selected the ammonia solution as the final CO2 capture technology for our plant. The applicability of ammonia solution chemical absorption for CO2 capture was demonstrated experimentally. We performed process simulation for this process with Aspen Plus, and obtained the process and operation condition.90% CO2 removal can be realized for treating 30 ? flue gas of 350MW plant with the conditions of 4 atm of absorption tower pressure and 8% ammonia solution at 20?5412.4kg/h CO2 removal can be realized with 37.5t/h ammonia absorption tower, which can remove 18943400kgCO2/year with 3500h operation per year. The product is NH4HCO3 solution, which can be used to fertilize the land and realize the reutilization of CO2.The results in this thesis will set up the experimental and theoretical foundations for the final application of ammonia solution absorption technology to capture CO2 in our plant.
