Microcellular plastic, with many properties which are lightweight, insulation, cushion, is properly used as decorating materials, such as wallpaper, even 3D embossed wallpaper. The target of this paper is fabricating the microcellular plastic film which meets the requirements of decorating materials. The influence of process parameters in batch foaming on the PVC modification is studied in this paper. The formulation of PVC which meets the requirements of decorating materials and the process parameters match with the formulation are studied in this paper.In this paper, the PVC film with the common formulation is fabricated. Then, the foaming film samples are fabricated by the elevated temperature method. The influence of process parameters on expansion ratio is studied by measuring the length and thickness, and the influence of process parameters on cell structure is studied by the SEM photos. It turns out that higher pressure causes the enhancement of expansion ratio and mechanical property and the decrease of appearance quality and the time in the pressure vessel. The higher temperature causes the decrease of foaming time, appearance quality and mechanical property and the enhancement of expansion ratio and cell diameter. The foaming time which is influenced by foaming pressure and temperature depends on the expansion ratio. The foaming media is water. Therefore, The proper process parameters for common PVC materials are that the pressure is in 13-16MPa, the temperature is around 75?,the time is around 5s which depends on the expansion ratio and the foaming media is water.The components of PVC film formulation is decided on the requirements of decorating materials. The dosage of components is decided by orthogonal test. The influence of the components on oxygen index, shore hardness and mechanical property. The PVC film formulation is decided by vertical flame test. It turns out that the increase of TPU?NBR and plasticizer cause the decrease of oxygen index, shore hardness and tensile strength and the increase of the elongation at break. The increase of flame retardants cause the increase of oxygen index and lightly influence on mechanical property. Therefore, the formulation of decorating materials is that PVC is 100, plasticizer is 40, TPU or NBR is 10, Al(OH)3/Mg(OH)2more than 60.The dosage of components is decided by orthogonal test. The proper formulation for the decrease of plasticizer is decided by the influence of the components on the precipitation of plasticizer. The influence of components on the process parameters and cell structure is studied by batch foaming. It turns out that the most important factors of the plasticizer precipitation is the dosage of TPU. The most appropriate formulation is that PVC is 100, TOTM is 35, GTB is 10, TPU is 10, Al(OH)3/Mg(OH)2more than 60. The proper process parameters are that the pressure is in 13MPa, the temperature is around 70 ?,the time is around 5s and the foaming media is water.
