With the rapid development of China’s manganese industry, the domestic high quality manganese ore resources is less and less, therefore, for the complex low grade manganese oxide ore, the development of manganese ore dressing new technology, improve resource recovery rate is the urgent matter of the development of China’s manganese industry.In this paper, the effect of reducing agent dosage, concentration of sulfuric acid, leaching temperature, L·S-1, leaching time, stirring speed and particle size on the leaching rate of manganese was studied. The results showed that the optimum extraction conditions were as follows: leaching time 100min, L·S-1=5:1,H2O2 dosage 40.8g·L-1, stirring speed 200r·min-1, concentration of sulfuric acid 1.5mol·L-1, particle size 120mesh and leaching temperature 90 ℃. And under the optimized conditions, the leaching efficiency of 96.56% for Mn was obtained.Based on the study of the leaching liquid purification process conditions, results show that, manganese dioxide can effectively oxidize Fe2+ to Fe3+ in the solution. After the oxidation of Fe2+, when the pH value was adjusted to about 5.0, the Fe3+, Al3+ can be completely removed. Meanwhile, the heavy metal in the leaching solution can be purified by S.D.D under the following conditions:stirring reaction for 50min at room temperature, then standing for 12h. After the purification operation, the obtained purification liquid meets the requirements for production of electrolytic manganese metal electrolytic manganese industry in China.In addition, the theory and process of electrolysis process were studied. The results showed that the optimized process parameters were: SeO2 dosage 0.04g·L-1,electrolysis temperature 40 ℃, cathode liquid pH 7, ammonium sulfate concentration 120g·L-1. Under the optimized process conditions, the production of electrolytic manganese products is phase single, compact and smooth, with less impurity content, which is in accordance with the requirements of DJMnB regulated in YB/T 051-2003.
