Sintering process is the main source of SO2 emissions in iron and steel company,which accounts for approximate 60% of the total emission in iron and steel works.Controlling SO2 emission from sintering is extremely important for reducing pollution in iron and steel works. Accelerating the implementation of sintering flue gas desulfurization, reducing SO2 emission of the sintering process is a inevitable requirement of the sustainable development of the iron and steel industry, is an important problem needed to be resolved urgently as well as a effective way to improve the international competitiveness of our iron and steel enterprises.In response to our country's policy on the reduction of the total SO2 emission and constructing environment-friendly enterprises.Based on the literature and internal market research data, combined with the effect of desulfurization technology at home and abroad, using a rotary spray desulfurization(SDA) technology. Based on the application of SDA for reducing smoke in the steel 405m2 sintering machine, this paper describes the principle, major equipment, process, technology features and applications of the SDA technology.In this paper, including SDA process, technology selection, energy conditions and desulphurisation coproduct.The design of the SDA including design standards,design principles and design process. Technology selection including desulfurization tower, lime pulping system, ESP, increase air pressure machine, gas systems,anti-corrosion and insulation systems. Energy medium conditions include water,steam, compressed air and power. Desulphurisation coproducts include components and Utilization.This design process follows the relevant national and regional construction standards.According to the actual situation of the site, use of advanced production technology and reliable equipment, systems meet the design standards. After the equipment input into operation, the desulfurization efficiency ?90%, the export of flue gas SO2 concentration ?100mg / m3, the export of flue gas dust concentration?20mg / m3, SO2 emission reduction of 11,700 tons per year.
