With the continuous growth of natural gas trade in China,natural gas measurement becomes an important part of the natural gas industry.Energy metrology is regarded as a better way for natural gas trade.In this paper,a calorimeter based on Rossini method for natural gas calorific value was designed.The main research works are as follows:? Gas calorific value measurement system and experimental principle were described in details.The key method of heat correction,the determination of mass of burned gas and the temperature rise correction of water were also analyzed.?A gas chamber and a double-body container were designed for gas calorific value measurement.The safe and stable combustion environment is provided by gas chamber.The container contains the gas chamber,electric heating tape,water cooling device and stirrer.In order to reduce the influence of outside environment and improve the accuracy of measurement,a container with double walls was designed.? The experiments were carried out in order to test the performance of calorimeter for measuring gas calorific.The effective heat capacity of the container including gas chamber,stirrer,electric heating tape,water and so on was determined by electrical calibration method.The uncertainty is 0.19%.A refrigeration system was designed for cooling the water in the double-body container.Meanwhile,the cooling function was tested.The optimum speed of the motor was experimentally determined.? Gas ignition theory and experiment were studied,such as ignition energy measurement method,gas combustion manners,flame detection methods,gas ratio.What's more,the optimum electrode distance and gas ratio were obtained by experiment.
