Study On Geologic Feature And Horizontal Well Placement In Low-permeability Reservoir Of Zhanarol Oilfield

Aktobe Oil & Gas produces more then 10 million tons of oil equivalents. The reservoir withpoor physical property and discontinuous oil layer, whose development of the result is bad in vertical wells of Zhanarol oilfild.In order to tap the remaining oil potential, develop the low-permeabilitay hard-to-produce reserves and also ipmprove the development efficiency of low-permeability reservoirs, the horizontal well drilling technology was tried, and two horizontal wells were successfully drilled together with critical techniques like pilot whole drilling, LWD geosteering and geological logging, etc in 2012.Which effecticvely ensured the target hit rate of the horizontal section and encountering rate of oil reservoir and finally obtained high single well productivity. The initial daily production of single wells was 89 t and 91 t respectively, and three times of initial production of vectical wells.Stdudy the geologic features according to the analysis of its geologic data and remodelling in Zhanarol oilfild. And analysis the reasons for low yields based on oil and gas well production situation. Well placement in the south low-permeability reservoir by this study and two testing horizontal wells. Implement suggestions for horizontal well development way, and provide a scientific basis for regional development for Zhanarol oilfild.
