| Supramolecular chemistry is a new discipline,It covers more complex physical,chemistry, molecular biology, materials and information characteristics than its moleculer and blurs the distinction between organic chemistry, biochemistry and materials science,wides the road for the development of molecular devices, material science etc. First of all, Naphthalimide has excellent photoelectric properties which can be used as a functional group to introduce into the gel system. Secondly, the large molecular plane characteristics and coordination properties with three triazine group have become a research topic to scholars. Based on the comprehensive literature on, this thesis designed and synthesized five naphthalene gelators with double melamine moieties. The gel properties was tested by the’stable-to-inversion of a vial’method. The microstructure of the gel were researched by SEM. The influences of the main driving force of its gels were investigated by spectroscopy. The details are summarized as follows:1.The four triazine derivatives modified by different functional group were prepared from cyanuric chloride as raw materials, then with EDC and HOBT as amide bond coupling agent, the target product NDI-1, NDI-2, NDI-3, NDI-4 and NDI-M were synthesized from triazine derivative and Naphthalimide derivatives. Molecular structures of the five gelators were identified.2. The gel properties of the five gelators in various solvents were tested by the ’stable-to-inversion of a vial’method, the critical gelation concentration and the critical temperature were determined. The results show that:Five kinds of gelations can form thermodynamics stable and transparent gel in toluene, xylene, but opaque gel in ethyl acetate, butyl acetate and butyl methacrylate. NDI-4 has the best gel ability and NDI-M has the worst gel ability. NDI-2 has the best gel properties and NDI-M has the worst gel properties.The colour of NDI-3 in xylene can change from yellow to red as time goes by as the result of CT effection.3. The micro morphology of gels of five kinds of gelator in a variety of solvents were observed by using the SEM. Three dimensional network structure and kintted structure gels formed by the same gelator were obtained. And the length of the alkyl chain have little effect on the micro morphology.4. The spectral quality of solution and gel of the five kinds of gelators were determined by using UV-vis Spectrophotometer and fluophotometer. The studies found that the five gelators are monomeric state in trichloromethane.In the gel state, the five gelators have formed J type aggregation. This shows that the formation of the naphthalimide gel is the result of the synergistic effect of intermolecular hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions. Then to change the strcucture of the functional group has little effect on the spectral properties of solutions. Additionally, the spectral properties of the gels were related to the type of aggregation.The results all above showed that, Because of its special molecular structure and excellent photochemical physical properties, the naphthalene group can promote the development of functional optical physical materials.In addition, it can also provide important scientific basis for the development of gel materials. |
