Sandwich structure has high quality and excellent mechanical performance, good sound absorption, sound insulation, heat insulation etc. Due to the traditional honeycomb core closed, condensate water is not easy to discharge. The folded structure not only has the advantages of the traditional honeycomb structure, but also condensate water is easy to discharge. However, the folded structure is difficult to manufacture for its complicated shape. This paper research how to fabricate high quality polymer V-type folded structure and Arc-Miura origami structure. The main research contents are as follows:First of all, the basic equations of geometric parameters of two kinds of folding structures are derived. The effect of two folded structures basic paramenters on equivalent density and draw radio was obtained using Matlab. According to above results, the range of basic parameters was determined.Secondly, in order to analyze the influence of two folded structures" parameters on mechanical properties, folded structure program was written. The influence of two folded structures parameters on mechanical properties was obtained through caculating multiple sets of folded structures.Then, the appropriate geometric parameters was selected to design two folded structure vacuum forming die based on above reasults. The influence of molding pressure, forming speed and forming temperature on the thickness distribution and forming precision was obtained through orthogonal experiment.Finally, two folded structures displacement-force curve were measured by compression test machine. It is found that V-type folded structure has excellent energy absorption performance by analyzing the experimental results and numerical simulation results. Arc-Miura origami structure unit mass energy absorption increased by 3.3% vand its maximum load force and the minimum load force ratio decreased by 21.1% than cylinder. Therefore Arc-Miura origami structure has better energy absorption than cylinder.
