Geo-steering is a technology which is using the near bit logging instruments to survey the parameters of geology and engineering and use the wellbore trajectory control technology to get optimum position of the pay zone.The technology of Geosteering should realize two purpose, the one is accurately arrive the pay zone and another is getting optimum position in it.This paper take horizontal well of block Su53 as a research object,studied the application technology of Geosteering.The LWD used in su53 have long distance of survey point to drill bit,which is more than 12m,so that will lead to at least one difficult is the information to be get significantly late.Another difficult need to face is the LWD only survey one logging curve that is natural gamma-ray.it dose not have the deep and shallow resistivity and azimuthal resistivity which are evaluation attitude of stratum and detecting stratigraphic boundary. Under the situation of so many difficults, we need to make full use of fine geology research to excavate any effctive information,so that we can give correct instructions to adjust the well path.This paper studied the structure on the basis of fine well correlation which is combied well logs and seismic data, and carried out the study on distribution features of the oil reservoir by seismic inversion and 3D modelling.on the basis of research of above to optimized the wellplacement and well design,intergreated drilling, mud logging,LWD information to forcast the variation of structure and reservior distribution, on the basis of the joint connection of geology and well path controlling to optimized the trajactory of unimplemented interval and to correct the well path to meet the request of improving the pay zone encounter rate.Through several years of field practice and research, ten basic technology had been formed. There are fine well correlation,micro structure indentify,lith identifing in real time, landing point optimization,trajactory optimization,hole deviation control at keypoint,control point optimization,reservoir prediction in horizontal section which undrilled,mudstone type recognition,well trajectory adjustment of horizontal section etc.The research achivement had been applied in about 151 horizontal wells, the average length of horizontal section is 1066.8m, the average penetration ratio of sand section to toal length of horizontal section is 84.3%, the average penetration ratio of effective reservoir section to total length of horizontal section is 62.38%.Such high pernetration rate is helpful to efficient development of horizontal wells and stable production of the whole block.
