Water pollution has become a huge problem affecting people's livelihood. China is a big oil player, the management of oil field water pollution is particularly necessary. Oil wastewater detection and treatment is the key step in oilfield production, its purpose is to detect and remove the oil in water and suspended matters, to reduce the content of harmful substances, to prevent the pollution of soil and water resources and to make reinjection water reach the requirements of the oilfield production. Therefore, looking for a technology of real-time monitoring of oil in water and suspended matters is an essential part of the oil field water quality monitoring. This paper build a photoelectric system which can detect oil in water and suspended matters simultaneously based on transmission and Mie scattering theory of near-infrared light, hardware and software design and calculation model.The main content of this paper and the work done are listed as follows:1. Analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of detection method of the oil in water and suspended matters, presented a detecting method by absorption and 90° scattering of the near-infrared light.2. Discussed the online detection wavelength selection method, put forward three-wavelength method which using three different near-infrared wavelengths. Put forward a calculation model which can detect two parameters simultaneously based on transmission and Mie scattering of the near-infrared light.3. Built a photoelectric detection system, introduced the design and implementation of hardware part. The light emission module and feedback stabilization part is analyzed in detail, discussed the design of receiving module and control module. The control part use serial port to communicate with PC.4. The software to build the photoelectric detection system was introduced. Used C language in ARM software, the datas are optimized by the PC software.5. The system stability and preliminary theory were verified by the hardware and software debugging and experiment, the error and future improvement were analyzed.
