In recent years,with the rapid development of the national economy and the popularization of low temperature technology,The demand for low temperature pressure vessels is increasing in all walks of life. The low temperature tank is increasingly needed. The 09 Mn Ni DR steel usually be used in the manufacture of-70?ethylene spherical tank primarily. The tank internal pressure becomes larger with the increase of its volume, And then bring increase of its load,Duing to the strength limitation of the 09 Mn Ni DR,The tank volume is not too big. In order to solve this probl,the domestic higher strength low temperature steel on the basis of 09 Mn Ni DR steel is being developed,and named 11 Mn Ni DR,The development of corresponding electrode W107 DRQ is completed by the Harbin welding Institute,The development of W107 DRQ welding rod can solve the matching welding material problem with the 11 Mn Ni DR steel. Thus,it provides a foundation for manufacturing large ethylene spherical tank.With uniform design,The effects of W107 DRQ electrode composition on arc stability,forming,slag removal and splash were studied;By using polynomial fitting method,The relationship between the chemical composition of deposited metal and the mechanical properties of deposited metal of the W107 DRQ welding rod was studied. The following conclusions are obtained:1) The W107 DRQ electrode of large scale ethylene spherical tank has been developed, The welding rod has good low temperature toughness and full position welding technology. Weld metal composition and performance to meet the requirements of-70 ? ethylene spherical tank technology.2) The W107 DRQ welding rod-70?KV2 can be improve with control of Mn/Si.3) Marble and arc stability is a positive linear relationship, negative linear relationship with splash. Fluorite and arc stability is a negative linear relationship and a positive linear relationship with the forming process. Rutile and arc stability showed two relations with rutile content increased, Arc stability increased. Ferrosilicon can improve the forming and slag removal, There was two times positive linear relationship with slag forming and a positive linear relationship with slag removal.
