Air is an important factor fo r human existence and it is also an important material base for human development.In modern society,the rapid development of economy has brought a serious burden to the environment and the contradiction of urban air pollution is particularly prominent.With the rapid development of urbanization,the living standards and consumption level of urban population increase continuously.Air pollution in the city is becoming more and more serious as industrial gases,living gases and a large number of automobile exhaust gases are emitted into the air.At present,many cities in the north of C hina have been a serious haze phenomenon which has seriously affected people's daily life and physical health.There are many air quality monitoring systems based on air pollution,but it can't be used widely.Therefore,it is quite significant to establish a perfect and unified air quality monitoring system.As the wireless sensor network has the advantages of large scale,self-organization,dynamic,reliability and so on.FPGA has powerful parallel data processing capability.Therefore,this paper designs an air quality monitoring system based on FPGA and the wireless sensor network.The system takes FPGA as the hardware platform.SOPC technology is used to build system on chip,and the sensor network is used as the carrier of data transmission.The terminal nodes are equipped with air quality monitoring sensors to collect data.Data is sent to the coordinator nodes through the wireless sensor network.After data collection and processing in the coordinator nodes,the processed data with fixed format is transmitted by the way of wireless to the host computer.This paper mainly introduces the contents of terminal nodes and coordinator nodes.At the same time,this paper also designs a node sleep scheduling algorithm based on time correlation which can effectively solve the problem of limited lifetime of wireless sensor network,network congestion and so on.The sensor network system based on FPGA air quality monitoring has the advantages of wide coverage,large amount of data acquisition,high transmission rate and low cost.It has improved data processing capacity of this system combined with FPGA platform,SOPC and WSN which has a high practical value.
