According to Chinese medicine,food and herb have similar properties.Food has the same effect to drug,and it also can regulate the immune system.In reference to the record of Chinese Medicine,20 kinds of food which have special effects were chose for experiment,including: jujube friuts,shaddocks,pears,apples,oranges,bitter gourd,leek,white gourd,pumpkin,ginger,glutinous millet,millet,sticky rice,black kerneled rice,green beans,beef,dog meat,mutton,chicken and duck.Young and healthy volunteers were recruited as subjects,their serum was collected before and after eating of 20 kinds of food.Millipore human kit and Liquid Chip Scanner were used to assay the concentration changes of 39 kinds of cytokine in Youth Volunteers’ serum.Cytokines which concentrations changed significantly before and after eating these food were chose by paired samples T test method.According to these cytokines which have significant change and material which obtains through the information retrieval,the communication network graph of cells can be drew.The changes of cell-cell communication network after eating the food can be observed directly with the new analysis method of cytokine network.The experimental results showed that 20 kinds of food,in addition to beef,the concentration of cytokines were significantly affected.Ginger and dog meat has 7 kinds of cytokine which concentrations has changed significantly.All this shows that food can indeed regulate the body’s immune system.According to observing the cell communication network diagrams,the cell communication networks can be divided into three levels.There are glial cells,keratinocytes,smooth muscle cells,liver cells,cartilage cells,melanoma cells,epithelial cells and mast cells at the first layer.These fixed cells receive stimulation signals through the endocrine system,nervous system and other ways,and then make the appropriate response to command other cells.Endothelial cells,macrophages,monocytes,fibroblasts and T cells locateing in the second layer of the hierarchical network,undertake the mission of transmitting signals to the target cells as the essential middle part of whole process.At the third layer of hierarchical network,the target cells including eosinophils,neutrophils,basophils,B cells,NK cells,pre-B,red blood cells,thymus cells,hematopoietic progenitor cells,hematopoietic precursor cells is the end of signaling.They receive from the first two layers of command,and make the appropriate response to deal with the original stimulus signal. |
