Henan Luoyang Non-material Cultural Heritage Luoyang Lantern Cultural Elements And Outdoor Lamps And Lanterns To Design Research

Luoyang,henan province,China,is a famous ancient cultural city with long history.As the capital of 13 Dynasties since Xia Dynasty,Luoyang has a galaxy of ancient culture,of which Luoyang palace lantern is the famous traditional handicraft.Originated in Luoyang,the palace lantern has thousands of years history and formed colored lights culture with Luoyang characteristics after a long period of evolution and development.This project explores the history,categories,artistic characteristics,material and technics of He Nan non-material cultural heritage Luoyang palace lantern and summarizes the classification and the redesign of the cultural elements of Luoyang palace lantern.It searches the innovative design method of integrating the culture elements of Luoyang palace lantern into the design of outdoor lamps and lanterns in the commercial plaza,ancient culture blocks etc.and further studies the innovative redesign with new technology,new material and new conception of Luoyang palace lantern.Through the redesign of the culture elements of traditional Luoyang palace lantern,the outdoor lamps and lanterns in Luoyang area reflects the unique regional style and characters,forming the regional characteristics of Luoyang,which makes valuable contributions to urbanization construction.
