The slope is one of the key issues in the process of open pit mining, Slop e stability has a direct impact on the production and safety of open pit mine. Op en pit slope is a dynamic slope, changing along with the development of strippin g of the project. Since 2008, the maximum height of slope is 369m and the loca 1 maximum slope angle is 61° along with the Pingzhuang West Open-pit Mine imp lementation of steep slope transverse internal dumping plan. Since 2013 with the development of the mining project to the south, the open-pit mine southwest has formed an area of the convex slope up to 1000m long,200m high. Slope stabi lity in the region affect its lower ongoing mining operations personnel and equi pment safety and yield of succeeding. In this paper, the author clear the engineering geological conditions and ana lyze the potential landslide model of Pingzhuang West Open-pit Mine west conve x slope through field investigation and data collection, theoretical analysis, rigid body limit equilibrium and numerical simulation methods. By rigid body limit e quilibrium software, the author quantitative evaluate the stability of the convex slope. The article intuitive displays the deformation and failure process of the convex slope and reveals the mechanism of landslide and landslide scope throu gh the three-dimensional entity model established by FLAC3D.The results show that:Weak interlayer is the main factor affecting slope st ability. The potential failure mode of slope is shear arc-bedding slip. At present stage the slope stability coefficient meet the requirements of safety coefficient. But, along with the development of mining engineering, weak layer gradually r evealed, overall stability of slope is falling. The slope landslide range is 800×50 0m...
