Aimed at the forming problem of the hard forming sheet parts with lateral curvature gradient and negative angle, It was presented that the generation and planning of 5- axis NC incremental forming path that individual adjust generating section that according to the forming angle of curved surface and form-ability of extrusion tool and a special kind of CAD/CAM system is developed. The finite element numerical simulation and the five axis forming extrusion experiments are used to verify the form-ability of the path that aimed at the special sheet metal parts.Firstly, aimed at the geometric features of hard forming sheet parts with lateral curvature gradient and negative angle,the forming path that individual adjust generating section according to the forming angle of curved surface was presented. Secondly, it was presented that the representation method and calculation method of the pose of the extrusion tool for the five axis machine tool and adjust the attitude aimed at the possible interference.Thirdly, according to the proposed five axis NC incremental forming path partition method that aimed at the model of a sheet metal that is not fully visible from the Z-axis direction,using C++ language to develop a CAD/CAM system which is applied to the intelligent partition and path generation of NC incremental forming technology. Fourthly, the conjecture that the optimization of the NC incremental forming path and trajectory is verified through finite element analysis.Lastly, the hard forming sheet parts with lateral curvature gradient and negative angle was formed successfully that using the five-axis machine tool.Forming experiment results show that inclined forming path that individual adjustment path generation section and 5-axis forming strategy of extrusion direction perpendicular to the surface of the sheet can form the hard forming sheet parts with negative angle effectively. |
