The mining industry occupies very important position in China's variouspillar industries,above these,tailings facility is an important part of mine production facilities,meanwhile,it also brings certain risks to mine safety.Taken together, the tailings in China is huge from the number, scale up to see.In recent years, due to the improper disposal of tailings accumulation and the occurrence of collapse,landslide, debris flow, dam break accident,these brought great loss to people's lives and property and the environment. Stability of tailings dam safety issues has become a priority among priorities of safety work of tailing,a series of safety management measures are particularly important.The paper in order to the No2 tailling of Hongda Mining in Ningcheng coutry as t he research odject, through on-site technical exploration,doing a series of physical and me chainical tests and laboratory soil test to the tailing sand of stacking dam in the No2 tai lling.On this basis, using the research methods of theoretical analysis and numerical simul ation of the comprehensive to do the anti sliding stability calculation and seepage calculat ion to the stacking dam,in order to verify it's stability. The research results can provide t echnical support for the construction and production management of the tailings,also can pr ovide references for the design and safe operation of similar tailings.
