The blast furnace is the core equipment in the production of iron and steel industry, and has huge construction costs and maintenance costs. The hearth is the main limiting element of the life of the blast furnace, to protect production safety of hearth furnace is a key factor in longevity. Since the hearth refractory lining and high temperature molten iron directly contacted, due to erosion, lining was thinning, which is seriously harmful to the overall security of the blast furnace. As in the production process we can not directly observe lining erosion, so grasping hearth furnace lining erosion on security of production and technical and economic is of great significance. In this paper, to design the more accurate analysis method that meets the requirements of the actual production of blast furnace hearth. Firstly, according to heat transfer equations, the quasi-3D analytic method in the blast furnace hearth erosion modeling is constructed, an central equivalent source term replaces characteristics of central heat transfer, which lets the model has characteristics of a three-dimensional heat transfer. Secondly, to establish the erosion model of hearth lined shaft section, loading outer boundary conditions and the equivalent source term, to use stepwise approximation method to modify the boundaries of erosion, to start steady-state solution, which can get lined hearth erosion topography. By comparing the one-dimensional method, two-dimensional method and the quasi-3D method of erosion calculations, Analysis showed that the quasi-three-dimensional model has a small amount of calculation, the higher the theoretical precision, and closes to analysis of 3D erosion. Finally, according to the heat transfer inverse principles,to design calculation process of the quasi-3D analytic method, And using ANSYS Parametric Design Language (APDL), to make the whole process parametric, which formed a system of quasi-3D analysis and calculation procedures, and easily applied to different situations of blast models.Through this research to determine feasibility of the quasi-3D method in the blast furnace hearth erosion, ans we need to do further research and testing in the actual production. The quasi-3D method can be regarded as upgrade of the two-dimensional analysis technology. If the method is applied to the production of blast furnace, it will provide more advanced computing security for blast furnace production safety.
