With the development of Da Gang Oilfield Group Company for years,Yangsanmu Oilfield stepped into mid-high water content period which make it more difficult to exploit effectively.In order to judge vertical wells' surrounding flooded situation after the formation of the water coning and remaining oil distribution,we must descript the cone shape quantitatively.The water cone shape'sdetailed study of vertical well can guide rational and efficient tapping potential of remaining oil,determine the thickness of the remaining oil layer and the plugging layer segment position,anddesign the plugging agent type and amount that suit the formation condition well,which in purpose ofoptimizing the construction crafts and the construction parameters to improve the effectiveness and efficiency.In this paper,comprehensive analyzed water cone shape factors,for examplewell spacing,strength,oil viscosity,density,production,etc.and studied water coning process.Integratedflow characteristics of spherical centripetal flow and plane radial flow,established the mathematical model of water cone by theapplication of the principles ofstatics and seepage flow.The relationship between water cone height and radius is studied,and the water cone shape is quantitatively described.Studied the remaining oil in the formation of water cone and calculate the thickness of the remaining oil reservoir near the wellbore,to provide guidance for the selection of the water plugging layer.Establishment of the pressure distribution modelanalyzed the relationship between internal and external pressure difference of water cone.The breakthrough pressure gradient method is used to determine the blocking strength and the plugging position of the slug combination.On the basis of the mathematical model,the calculation method is programmed into a set of optimization software for water plugging technology.Experimental study on the the calculation method of four wells was carried outin Yangsanmu Oilfield,and good effect in actual construction which proved to be effective and strong feasibility.The operation is simple,convenient and fast,with a high practical value,when someone uses the software.
