| This paper focuses on the development and research of producing anhydrous ethyl alcohol by combined extraction- rectification technique. The present process is improved to adapt the enterprise features for anhydrous ethyl alcohol production, and the purity of ethanol has been increased, reducing the environmental pollution as well.By evaluating the status quo at home and abroad, an enterprise produces anhydrous ethyl alcohol using extraction method. Based on the Aspen Plus analog computation and the result of Fluid mechanics, this design scheme which adopts the continuous distillation technique for four tower process was confirmed. Distillation process for producing anhydrous ethanol consists of 3 steps:(1) To rectify the homeopathic alcohol to Azeotropic composition; (2) To destroy azeotropic distillation using separation agents, obtain anhydrous ethanol; (3) To remove the water in extraction agent, recycling extraction agent. The three steps can realize the production of anhydrous ethyl alcohol and the recycling of the extractant.This paper researches the process of producing anhydrous ethyl alcohol, and decides an appropriate process conditions through process design and operational condition, increasing the purity of ethanol, which can reach 99.5%. The design and type selection of the main equipment is discussed in this paper. The 4 towers are made of high efficiency structured packing tower, which are allocated by 9 heat-exchange facility according to the calculation of the diameter of the column, and the filler layer segmentation. The selection of the 9 pumps, the specifications, materials and models of the 8 storage devices and the instrument design conditions, the utility conditions are also confirmed in this paper. At last the energy saving measures are discussed to maximize the reduction of energy consumption.The project design has been verified by experiment, and the machine has been put into a trial run smoothly, which achieves the technical specifications of the requirements of enterprise. In the finished product of ethanol, the water content is less than 0.5%, the ethanol content is more than 99.5%, the other component is less than 0.1%, Ethanol recovery rate is greater than or equal to 90%, Extraction recovery rate is greater than or equal to 90%. Through the preliminary estimation, the production of anhydrous ethanol in this process can achieve good economic benefits. |
