Heat-tracing was widely applied within industry,of which the heat transfer performance and efficiency would be closely related to the economic benefit of enterprises.Inner flow details could not be obtained by the method of traditional experiments and process in the selection and design of heat-tracing modes,thus,advanced CFD technology which could solve the optimization design of heat-tracing modes have caused widely concern in academia and industrial community.Research of the heat transfer performance optimization based on CFD simulation was carried out,according to the existing heat-tracing modes.The objective was to realize type selection optimization and design of the heat-tracing process by finite volume method of CFD simulation,including the quantitative analysis of heat-transfer mechanism,heat balance and dynamic heat transfer characteristics of heat-transfer cement heat-tracing system and analysis of energy-saving potential from the amount of energy,quality and energy level.Heat-transfer cement heat-tracing was a optimization to traditional heat pipe heat tracing,filling thermal conductive cement between heat pipe and process pipe,changing the original line contact to surface contact,and increasing the heating area and heat transfer efficiency with high coefficient thermal conductivity of thermal conductive cement instead of low coefficient of thermal conductivity air.Result that,(1)The temperature of heating medium of heat-transfer cement heat-tracing system was higher than that of traditional heat pipe heating system for 20?,when at the same heating steam temperature.(2)The temperature of heating medium of heat-transfer cement heat-tracing system was higher than that of traditional heat pipe heating system for 15~20?,when at the same heat-tracing water temperature.(3)The lasting temperature of process medium of heat-transfer cement heat-tracing system was the same to or much higher than that of traditional heat pipe heating system,when the temperature of heating steam or water reduce for 20?.(4)The lasting temperature of process medium of heat-transfer cement heat-tracing system was the same to or much higher than that of traditional heat pipe heating system,when the nominal diameter of heat-tracing pipe shrunk for 33% and the temperature of heating steam or water kept constant.The method applied in this paper and obtained data will partly improve the optimization and engineering application of heat-tracing process in theory and model support.
