The lightweight of automobile is the development direction of auto industry, and advanced high strength steel components of variable cross-section, can reduce quality under certain load conditions. To manufacture high strength steel sheet materia by roll forming process into the best section mechanical properties of variable cross-section beam is unsolved problems. On the basis of the research and development of the flexible roll-die forming production line, this paper proposes the laser assisted heating roll-die forming method, which takes the DP980 high strength steel plate as the research object and takes advantages of the reduction of strength, plasticity and ductility of the metal under high temperature.This paper obtains the mechanical properties and stress-strain curve of DP980 steel plate at 400℃,450℃,500℃,550℃,600℃ and 650℃ by high temperature tensile tests and finally chooses 450℃ as the heating temperature after analyzing its σs/σb,σs-σb and δj. Based on laser thermal stress forming mechanism and thermal mechanical coupled analysis method, this paper builds analysis model of the laser assisted heating variable height roll-die forming process in ABAQUS. Then this paper obtains the temperature field distribution, stress field distribution and forming force data at room temperature and 450℃. By comparing the results of finite element analysis, DP980 plate formed at 450℃ is more perfect than which formed at room tempreature.This paper designs the laser assisted heating system thinging of the danger of laser beam by remote PID tempreture control. Based on the microcontrollers system, this paper builds the hardware platform of the system and completes the hardware type selection, including control board, driver board, WIFI module, laser device and temperature sensors. The remote control system adopt the upper computer and lower computer control system structure and use the WIFI module to exchange data. Also, this paper develops the control system including the upper and lower control system. It is based on VC++ MFC application framework to develope the upper control system, and uses the digital and analog control of microcontrollers system to realize the function of the two lasers’ switch, power adjust, temperature programming, temperature acquisition and data feedback.
