In the cotton spinning process, the key processes to improve the quality of yarn is the comb. Its function is to exclude short fiber, neps, impurities and other defects contained in the sliver, and to make even combed sliver for the downstream operation.At present, the development of the existing comber is on the basis of the existing carding process for the machinery structure, the optimization and improvement of the executive component, and it don’t change the traditional comber working principle. It will cause the vibration and noise of the equipment directly with the feed of the feed roller, the swing of the combed nipper and top comb and the circulatory actions of the detaching roller, and it’s difficult to increase the clamp times of the cotton comber in this mode of operation. Only if the breakthrough on these issues is brought to effect, the fundamental development of the combing technology will occur. With the requirements of the yarn quality and economic in domestic and international market increasing continuously, the combing process is more important than past.This subject aims to change the existing working principle and reduce the impact of the swing structure on the existing comber speed. By using the rotation or other continuous mechanism, the clamp times of the cotton comber will on the increase. This article provides new ideas and new institutions to realize the high-speed continuous mode of operation and the improvement of the comber clamp times and production efficiency. That has a strong practical significance and urgency.At the beginning of the subject, a lot of preliminary research was done to analysis and compare the features, advantages and disadvantages of the existing domestic and foreign-related combing technology and products. Under the premise of a full analysis of modern the combed process requirements, a less nipper, rotary single cylinder comber design of mechanical systems is identified by analyzing foreign rotary combing machine patented.Based on the above, in order to ensure that the main function of the existing combers is completed with the rotary comb comber, the working principle of the new combing machine and all the factors that may affect the process combing when detaching and combing are analyzed and studied in theory, and that provide a reliable theoretical basis for the design of the rotary comb comber institutions.Finally, it describes the choice of major motion and institutional structure of a three clamp plates, rotary single cylinder comber, and process a preliminary research on that. The main process parameters of the three clamp plates, rotary single cylinder comber are checked in detail, and the geometric size of the key components are identified to provide the basis for subsequent modeling and simulation.
