Considering environmental impacts and resource consumption synthetically, green manufacturing is a modern manufacturing mode and the comprehensive reflection of human sustainable development in manufacturing industry. Green manufacturing requires the minimal occupied resources and environmental impacts in the product life cycle and the maximal economic and social benefits for enterprises. As a typical industry, the resource consumption and environmental emissions in manufacturing industry are huge. Therefore, green manufacturing is urgent for the harmonious development between human and environment, providing important guidance for the healthy development of manufacturing industry.The paper is presented the chip and cutting fluid integrated treatment system on machining production line and the application thereof under the background of green manufacturing. The chip and cutting fluid integrated treatment system is the green circular system, which is used to handle, recycle or reuse the scraps and waste liquor produced by several processing equipment in machining workshop or by production lines centrally for the purpose of saving resources and optimizing environment. The system is mainly made up of integrated chip treatment system and integrated cutting fluid treatment system. The integrated chip treatment system mainly includes single-unit chip cleaner, main chip cleaner, secondary chip cleaner, metal crusher, centrifugal drier, packing and briquetting machine, etc. When the equipment starts to work, the chip is in the first place piped by single-unit chip cleaner of machine tool to secondary chip cleaner and transferred to the main chip cleaner. Finally, the chip is carried by the main chip cleaner to the cuttings treatment equipment for chipping, centrifuge dripping, packing and briquetting, i.e. the integrated green treatment on cuttings. Meanwhile, the cutting fluid occurred in the process of machining is piped by reverse-flow system to the centralized filtration treatment equipment. Through the centralized filtration treatment of vacuum paper filter, the cutting fluid could meet the process requirement. Then, the pumps unit sends the cutting fluid back through liquid line to the machine equipment for use, realizing the centralized treatment and supply of cutting fluid for machine equipment or production line. The integrated cutting fluid treatment system maximizes resource utilization, reduces resources consumption, lowers costs and improves working environment, which is of a great practical significance against the background of energy conservation and environmental protection.
