Crude benzene pre-distillation tower is the tower equipment used to distill of crude benzene and obtain light benzene, and it is often used in benzene hydrogenation project. With the increasing of related projects in the domestic, the use of pre-distillation tower is also increased. Since the crude benzene is toxic compound, once the pre-distillation tower was damaged in the earthquake, in addition to suspending production, causing significant economic losses to the enterprise, will also result in leakage of toxic compounds, pollute the environment and threaten people’s health. At present, such a tower on the basic design of earthquake resistant structure is still in static phase. In the design of the equipment often consider influence of the first few vibration mode, it is difficult to make the structure to meet seismic requirements.This paper focused on the study of crude benzene pre-distillation tower, analyzed and researched its dynamic characteristics under seismic loads.(1) According to the structure of the pre-distillation tower dimensions, use Solidworks and ANSYS established finite element model of pre-distillation tower.(2) According to the basic theory of modal analysis, conducted modal analysis of the pre-distillation tower structure, obtained structure of pre-distillation tower’s natural frequencies and the corresponding mode shapes, the result showed pre-distillation tower’s main vibration shapes concentrate in the first 15 levels.(3) Based on the modal analysis, conducted response spectrum analysis of the pre-distillation tower structure, obtained pre-distillation tower’s structural displacement and stress responses when acceleration response spectra respectively input from X and Z direction, results showed that pre-distillation tower in the X, Z direction have a greater seismic strength, meet seismic requirements.(4) Based on the Principles for selecting seismic waves, select seismic waves and conducted time-history analysis of the pre-distillation tower’s structure, respectively input seismic waves from X and Z direction, obtained the displacement and stress variation with time’s principle of pre-distillation tower structure under seismic wave, results showed that the pre-distillation tower structure in the duration of seismic waves meet seismic requirements. |
