Abstract/Summary:
Temperature resistant performance is one of the important technical indexes of perforating equipment, which directly affects the construction safety and the productivity of oil and gas wells. In China, high temperature performance test for perforators adopts the standard GB/T 20488-2006 "Test Method of Perforator Materials for Oil and Gas Wells". Perforator Inspection Center of PetroChina is the only inspection organization in China. Its former high temperature testing device was imported in 1995 with the API RP43. In the use of the process, technical defects of the device have been found and it is not able to meet the requirements of perforator test any more. Therefore, it is necessary to develop new high temperature test devices to test the high temperature resistant performance of jet perforators.As the temperature test involves in initiating explosive, safety is the primary concern. The second concern is scientific rationality and accuracy of the tests. The test process consists of three parts:heating, transporting and perforating. The heating furnace can meet the requirements of the temperature indicators and can avoid damages from jets caused by accidental explosion in heating process. The transporting system is required to be safe and fast. The perforating test is required that jet should not deviate out of targets so as to assure the accuracy of the test results.Aiming at these problems, a complete set of temperature test device for perforators has been developed through numerical simulation and contrast experiment. The new device mainly consists of heating furnace, test container, target frame, temperature control system and transport system, which make it possible for perforators to be transported from the working table to the heating furnace, and to the test container after heating, and then explod in the container, and finally move back to the working table. Various technical indicators have reached the test requirements. The maximum temperature limit and holding time are respectively 300℃ and 120h and 8 charges can be perforated in a 1-metre gun, which realizes domestic test for high temperature perforators and is able to help promote the research and development of high temperature charges in China.
