Lipan Mountain, one of the western outdoor tourist attractions,is an important part of the geological tectonic belt in the northwestern region of China and the core section of the north-south tectonic belt in China. The study of the relationship between the genesis mechanism of the Lipan Mountain and the geotectonic movement not only has important implications on the research of the uplift mechanism in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau but also provides important evidence for the study of river terraces(the upper reaches of the Jing He River,Kong tong Mountain etc.),the tectonic activities of the basin's landforms, and geological disasters(the Aerogun Debris Flow)in the Lipan Shan region. The uplifting of the late Cenozoic Qinghai-Xizang Plateau which caused significant changes in its surrounding geological structures and sediments, resulted in significant geomorphologic differences in the geomorphology of the eastern and western sides in Lipan Mountains, lead to the difference degree of structural activity varies between the east and west sides in Lipan Mountains. The author downloads the DEM data, whose resolution of the data is 30 m,required for the paper in the geographic cloud database.Using software such as ARCGIS10.2 to analyze the DEM data, the hydrological and geomorphologic characteristic parameters are extracted and spatial hydrological analysis is carried out of the river basins from the east and west sides of the Lipan Mountains. The geomorphologic parameters contain area elevation(HI),basin extension(BS),and piedmont curvature(Smf). The experience of domestic and foreign scholars studying the relative intensity of tectonic activities was summarized, combined with the regional geological background, tectonic and geomorphologic evolution, and the extracted geomorphologic parameters were divided into three levels, which were divided into three levels, and the classification and parameter calculation and the calculated results of the parameters corresponded to the grades. Finally, the variation coefficient method was used to calculate the weight of each geomorphic parameter, and then the degree of tectonic activity(Iat)in the study area was calculated from the weights.Considering the critical value of the geomorphologic parameter grade, the relative degree of tectonic activity is divided into four grades, when 1.0<Iat?1.5,the relative intensity of the tectonic activity is judged to be high;1.5<Iat?2.0,he relative intensity of the tectonic activity is higher;2.0<Iat?2.5,it is determined that the relative intensity of tectonic activity is moderate;2.5<Iat?3.0,the relative strength of tectonic activity is judged to be weak. The research results are shown below:(1)By combining river basin classification with catchment area, the sub-basin is divided into two basins on the east and west sides of Lipan Mountain, and the upper reaches of the Wei River and the upper reaches of the Shuiluo River on the east and west sides of Lipan Mountain are divided into 21 sub-basins.Then the ARCGIS software was used to extract the geomorphologic parameter values(Smf,HI,SL,BS,AF)of each sub-basin on the basis of elevation data and divide the geomorphologic parameter into 3 levels.(2)Calculate the relative intensity of active structures in the whole basin of the east and the west of the Lipan Mountains. The results show that the relative intensity of the tectonic activity in the upper reaches of the Jing he River in the east of the Lipan Mountain is 1.67,and the relative activity structural intensity rank is the second. The structural activity of the basin is relatively strong, and the relative intensity of tectonic activity in the upper reaches of the Shuiluo River on the west side of the Lipan Mountain range is 2.58,and the relative activity structural intensity rank is level 4,indicating that the tectonic activity in this area is relatively stable.(3)By calculating the relative intensities of the tectonic activities of each sub-basin of the river basin on both sides of the Liupan Mountains, and comparing the calculated results with the Iat level, the results show that the structural activities of the upper reaches of the Jing River are strong, strong, and medium, respectively. The active watersheds accounting for 8.97%,54.10%,and 36.93% of the total area of the entire basin. The activity intensity in the upper reaches of the Shuiluo River is relatively strong, moderate, and weak, and that relatively strong area account for 3.63%,medium area account for 41.61% and weak area account for 54.76%of the total basin area.(4)By measuring the degree of correlation between the geomorphologic parameters and topographic factors of each slope, the results show that there are different degrees of close relationship between the geomorphologic parameters and the local shape factors, but in general, the geomorphologic parameters are closely related to the regional elevation. The degree is strong, and less closely related to factors such as slope and aspect.
