With the development of China's offshore oil industry,there are more and more offshore oil platforms in active service.With the increasing of service life,the coating layer of offshore platform splash zone structure also becomes ineffective.Because the platforms are immovable,part of the maintenance work must be carried out in the wet surface or underwater,surface preparation and coating is very difficult to perform.In order to prolong the service life of offshore platform steel structure,so as to reach the designed service period,and to ensure the operation safety of offshore platform,the development of anticorrosive coating which can be performed in the modification under marine environmental condition,and the development of the process of onsite modification in this area is of great significance.In this paper,according to the characteristics of coating and requirements of modification in splash zone of offshore platform,two kinds of coatings including high concentration epoxy coating with glass flake and underwater solidification epoxy coating are analyzed.It is found that the high concentration epoxy coating with glass flake can be applied in the low surface treatment and wet surface.After is is painted 8 hours,the coating can be soaked directly under water and continue soidification without affecting the performance of the coating.And the specific solvent-free epoxy coating has excellent hydrophobic property,after painted underwater the coating has excellent adhesion to the substrate,and the coating is high wear-resistant,can meet the painting requirements of splash zone underwater area.Finally,two kinds of solvent-free epoxy coatings for the above-water part and underwater part of splash zone of offshore platform were developed.The above-water part coating is with low viscosity epoxy resin and glass flake as the main base material and polyamide is as curing agent.The underwater part coating is with bisphenol F epoxy resin and toluene base glycidyl ether as the main base material,and the specific amine is as curing agent.These two kinds of coatings have good wet surface and underwater surface painting performance and excellent anti-corrosion performance,and they can be used for wet surface and underwater steel structure coating and corrosion protection so as to meet the requirements of splash zone coating anti-corrosion modification.At the same time,according to the characteristics of these two coatings,repair process was developed to making it to meet the splash zone upper water part and underwater part coating repair requirements.
