Bohai Sea is one of the most economically developed areas in China, but it suffers from the heaviest sea-ice hazard every winter.Till now,the sea-ice has caused oil platforms collapse, ship damage, and the blocking on seaways, which have led to severe economic losses. Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the research on monitoring technology of sea ice data in order to meet the needs of oceanic development. This paper made full use of the respective advantages both of optical remote sensing and microwave remote sensing in sea ice monitoring, thus carrying out researches on key parameters of sea ice.The main research work and conclusion are as follows:(1)Monitoring temporal and spatial variation of sea ice based on GOCI data.In this paper, the range of sea ice is extracted based on the normalized ratio threshold method and visual interpretation method achieving the goal to monitor the temporal and spatial variation of sea ice from 2012 to 2013 as well as the goal to assess the sea-ice situation in Bohai Sea region. It can provide data support and guidance for the relevant departments.(2)Sea-ice thickness estimation in the Bohai Sea using GOCI data.In this study,a method to estimate the thickness of the sea-ice of the Bohai Sea using GOCI data is proposed and then applied to the dynamic monitoring of the sea-ice thickness in the Bohai Sea during the winter of 2014 to 2015.The test results indicate not only that the sea-ice thickness extraction method based on the GOCI data in this study has a good correlation(R~2=0.82)with that by the MODIS and thermodynamic empirical models(R~2=0.83 and R~2=0.84),but also that the RMS is only 4.73 cm different from the thickness of the sea-ice based on the GOCI and in-situ data.(3)Optical remote sensing is vulnerable to rain, fog, snow and other weather conditions. In order to monitor the sea-ice monitoring any time and all weather,it is necessary to monitor sea-ice thickness estimation in the Bohai Sea using microwave remote sensing data.In this paper, the relational model between thickness of sea-ice and ratio polarization using SAR data is established and it is applied to the estimation of sea-ice thickness. The test results indicates that the method based o n microwave remote sensing data can make up the defects the optical remote sensing has and it can extract better thickness of sea-ice,providing a guarantee to realize sea-ice monitoring of all-time and all-weather.(4)This paper monitors the thickness of sea-ice successfully based on active and passive remote sensing and the thickness of sea-ice is showed finally through the programming.
