This paper regards the unstable slopes for Xinfangzi in Fangshi Town,Qingchuan County,Guangyaun City as the object of study.In order to propose reasonable and thrifty control measures,it studies the basic features of unstable slope with investigating the current condition for these slopes and combining analysis data.Furthermore,it analyzes and calculates the stability of slopes.The research area is located in the mountainous area of northern sichuan,and is located in the northern section of the Longmen mountain belt in the northwest margin of the ancient Yangtze plate.It is a subtropical humid monsoon climate type,with annual rainfall of 1021.7mm.The overall planar morphology of the study subjects was irregular which is small and earthy.It develops because of high and steep terrain,loose earth,continuous rain,“5.12” Earthquake and human activities.Among them,topographic conditions and formation lithology are internal causes,which control the formation and development of unstable slopes.Rainfall is the main external cause,which can control the formation and development of unstable slopes.Stability analysis result which is according to the method of dividing line and passing coefficient shows that the No.1 slide face for unstable slope is stable under natural working condition but unstable under rainstorm condition and No.2 slide face is stable under natural working condition and basically stable under rainstorm condition.The writer proposes a general control measure which is“ slide-resistant pile+ retaining plate+ drainage ditch” as per the analysis result of deformation failure feature and stability for unstable slope and in the design condition,the working conditions of heavy rain or continuous rainfall with greater probability of occurrence are taken.
