The Generalized Logistic Distribution(GLD)is a generalization of the Logistic Distribu-tion(LD).The distribution has four parameters. That is location, scale and two shape parameters. It is a skewed distribution and can describe the actual data more effectively. Therefore,it has been widely used in many fields. There are five types of the distribution. This article mainly studies the type III of generalized logistic distribution(GLDIII).This article focuses on the properties and parameter estimation of GLDIII,which is divided into four parts. The first part is about the research significance and status of GLDIII at home and abroad; The second part introduces the definition and the properties of GLDIII;The third part, which introduces the method of moment(MOM),absolute mean moment(ABM),the maximum likelihood estimation(MLE),the best linear unbiased estimation(BLUE)and the quantile esti-mation(QE)method,makes a simulation study on different estimation methods and compares the estimation results; In the forth part,I will present the maximum likelihood estimation(MLE)and the best linear unbiased estimation(BLUE)with the parameter estimation of GLDIII for the type-II censored data, simulates the BLUE and evaluate the effect of estimation. In particular, this thesis studies the relationship between GLDIII and other distributions.By simulating images,we compare GLDIII with the standard normal distribution and make a theoretical derivation. In addition,we study the parameter estimation of GLDIII in the method of sample quantile estimation. Finally, the effect of parameter estimation of different sample sizes and different parameters will by given by simulation.
