Along with the advance of science and technology,the ability of observation earth is becoming stronger.Data acquired from satellite remote sensing,global positioning system(GPS),sea and land observation stations is vast.At the same time,with the development of social economy,the demand for geographic information resources continuously extend,and users in different professional background may apply different forms of geospatial data.But the use level of geospatial data is not high.Geospatial data exists relations(correlation)in many dimensions such as semantic?time?space,but the correlations have not been fully use in resource retrieval;And because the abstractness and complexity of geographic information resources correlation and expression form is relatively single,the cognitive efficiency is not high.In this paper,on the basis of the existing research on the geographic information resources correlation,we summarize the correlation based on the essential feature of geographic information resources and study the geospatial data correlation algorithm.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of geographic information resources correlation,we apply information visualization method to the expression of correlation.Firstly,we make a qualitative and quantitative analysis of geographic information resources correlation,and map the implied correlation from abstract space to express space,which can help people better understand the information related to retrieval object.The research content as follows:(1)We study on the concept of geographic information resources correlation?On the basis of geographic information resources unified description,we analyze the existing research on geographic information resources correlation,and summarize semantic,spatial and time correlation between geographic information resources which lay a foundation for the following geographic information resources correlation calculation.(2)We develop a research on the calculation of the semantic,spatial and time correlation between geographic information resources.We solve the problem of the calculation of content semantic correlation degree,spatial correlation degree and time correlation degree of geographic information resources.We implement that geospatial data can be automatically associated,which can be automatically extracted geospatial data correlation.(3)Carry out the research on the visualization of geographic information resources correlation,through using the establishment of visualization mapping and the design and practice of visualization,we solve the problem of the expression of geographic information resources correlation.First of all,we make visualization mapping for geographic information resources correlation respectively from the visual structure,space,elements,attributes.Then,we layout and display the semantics?space?time correlation between geographic information resources in the way of the layout of the improved Force-Directed algorithm?the layout of hyperbolic tree based on hyperbolic space?the layout of timeline structure which effectively express the correlation information between geographic information resources.After above,the correlation of geographic information resources is mapped form abstract space to express the space which improves the cognitive efficiency of geographic information resources correlation.(4)Prototype experiment system is designed and implemented,which is used to validate the proposed theory and method.Based on preprocessing of the metadata information used in the experiment,we realize the calculation of the correlation of geospatial data set,and display the correlation in visual.
