With the rapid development of modern society and economy,human activities around coastal waters and the coast are in the increasingly frequent.The number of near-shore marine engineering construction and the scale of investment continues to increase,we put more and more attention on the safety of the building and the effective application of protection works,that building and works are located near the coast,river estuaries and other coastal waters.In this paper,we made a preliminary study on the numerical methods of the change of shallow water wave propagation in the varying depths water.The research method is beneficial for planning and designing of the coastal waters project and coastal protection engineering,dredging natural river estuary,and forecasting the change of rivers.The study is adapted to the need of economic development and national defense construction.First,the study based on the one-dimensional linear longwave equation derived the equations of dimensional shallow water problem.After the finite element discretized finite element model,we calculate the stiffness matrix and mass matrix of finite element,then establish triangular and quadrilateral finite element model.Based on dynamic non-uniform finite element analysis method,we achieve the application of numerical methods of the shallow water wave in varying depth water.Secondly,we use the analysis method of shallow water wave in variable depth water for analyzing the model established by the waters.And obtain the curve of the wave height amplitude under different conditions.Using analytical solution model Danel R.Lynch and Willinm G.Gray given calculates for the analytical solution of each measurement point's wave high amplitude.The comparison between the two is to verify the correctness of numerical methods.The third,we use numerical methods for calculating wave propagation and wave height amplitude variation in different water depths and water models with different frequencies of the incident wave.Then include the mutual influence relationships among incident wave frequency,measurement point,change of water depth and numerical results.Finally,we use the numerical analysis method of shallow water wave in variable depth water in two different models of the actual project,and realize the analysis of the complex waters of hydrological information.
