Study On Capacitance Electrode Instead Of Grounding Electrode In EH-4 System

In this paper,the traditional MT method sometimes has the difficulty of field grounding condition,the technical scheme of replacing the traditional grounding electrode with capacitor electrode is proposed.The theoretical basis,basic principle and data processing method of CIE method are discussed.First,use EH-4 instruments on campus for outdoor.In the electric field channel,respectively,access to the ground electrode and capacitor electrode to measure,the magnetic field signal is carried out in a conventional manner,then calculate the Cagniard resistivity,the error between the two is ±8.9%.Then,in the hot spring area for filed detection,the purpose is to detect the distribution of underground strata structure.As a result,The apparent resistivity of CIE is similar to that of high density method and the result are given to the development plan in the future.Analysis of geophysical result,you can see in the proposed tunnel line between k509+40~k509+200 there is a cave exists.It is recommended that the construction should take appropriate protective measures to prevent the impact of the cave on the construction and even security issues.Through the above three examples,CIE in the measurement of two orthogonal horizontal electric field components to calculate the Cagniard resistivity,you can use the capacitor electrode instead of the ground electrode for measurement,The results of the CIE method are consistent with those obtained by the traditional MT method,which shows that the basic theory of CIE is correct,and it also shows that the data obtained by the CIE method are correct.These examples of CIE method in the field of practical work,you can not lay the ground electrode,improve work efficiency,making the overall equipment lighter,can save the electrode to the host connection,saving manpower and material resources.CIE compared with the traditional method of grounding electrode,there are higher lateral resolution,there is a small distance from the electrode and other factors caused by random error.
