Photoelectric imaging technology in the turbid water of offshore has become one of the most important technologies in the development of ocean.But the quality of the image change with the scattering volume and target,besides,the low resolution of the image lead to a large decline in contrast directly.In order to improve the resolution of the imaging system,we can do the following aspects.First,we can change the design of lens to improve the resolution of the optical imaging system.Second,improve the detection resolution of the detection devices.Third,we can improve the design of the optical path and circuit,so the ratio of signal and noise can be improved.The above methods are directed methods,with the restriction of technology level and the given imaging system,we can hardly achieve them.So people can use an indirect method to improve the resolution,and polarization imaging technology is the method we are going to study in this paper.In order to improve the precision of imaging system,liquid crystal phase retarders(LCVR)were used in the polarization imaging system as a alternative of traditional phase modulator,liquid crystal phase retarder is a new kind of polarizers which is made of nematic liquid crystal material,its characteristic is it can get different polarization of polarized light by controlling the voltage.In this paper,we get the relationship between voltage modulation and phase calibration,and built offshore stokes underwater imaging system on the basis of LCVR.Because of the special imaging environment in the seawater,images are the basic gray image without color,so it is very difficult for us to identify the target.Ordinary optical imaging methods cannot distinguish similar color and material objects of different materials.In order to overcome the above difficulties,the polarization information space model is established in this paper based on the stokes imaging and image processing technology of combining the technical means to highlight the characteristics of target,the stokes imaging and HSV color space,the combination of P and ? the reflection of light in the object theta values correspond to the HSV space,the display in the HSV color space,In order to overcome these difficulties,in this paper,stokes imaging and image processing technology are combined which proved to have a good effect.
