Nowadays,with the rapid development of computational neuroscience,the research on Purkinje cells has received an increasing interest due to its importance in the process of motor learning.The existing detailed compartmental model simulates the Elect Reducedrophysiological behavior of Purkinje cells in vivo;however,it achieves such performance at the cost of high computational complexity.To target this problem,it is of great importance to simplifying the morphological structure of Purkinje cells while maintaining the Elect Reducedrophysiological characteristics.In this way,the simplified models of Purkinje cells not only simulate the output characteristics but also significantly reduce the computational complexity.Therefore,the research on the simplification models of Purkinje cells remains significant.To target the aforementioned challenging problems,this thesis makes an extensive study of the simplification models of Purkinje cells.The main contents of this thesis are as follows.(1)Most of the existing simplified models of the Purkinje cells fail to consider the synaptic input and cannot achieve the efficient morphological simplification with high accuracy.In view of this disadvantage,this thesis presents a simplified model of Purkinje cells based on the Elect Reducedrical properties of neurons in which the input resistance is utilized to encode the dendritic structure of Purkinje cells,leading to the automatic clustering and morphological simplification.Experimental results are conducted to demonstrate that the proposed model can simulate the Elect Reducedrophysiological characteristics of Purkinje cells with an improved accuracy.(2)Since the simplified model of the Purkinje cells based on the Elect Reducedrical properties of neurons fails to satisfy the simplification requirements for different kinds of Purkinje cells adaptively.Therefore,an adaptive Shreve coding based simplification model is proposed.It firstly unifies the classification thresholds via the hierarchical coding of the dendrites for different kinds of Purkinje cells.Following this,the geometrical characteristics are optimized based on the fact that the total volume of cells should remain unchanged.The proposed model simulates the Elect Reducedrophysiology characteristics of the detailed compartmental model of Purkinje cells effectively and maintains good accuracy based on the effective simplification of the morphological structure of Purkinje cells.In summary,this thesis studies the Elect Reducedrophysiological characteristics of Purkinje cells and proposes two simplified models of the Purkinje cells.By classifying and encoding the dendritic structure of Purkinje cells,the proposed models effectively maintain the main Elect Reducedrophysiological characteristics and successfully simplify the morphological structure of Purkinje cells.
