Lizhu iron ore field is located in the north eastern end of the Qinghang junction,which is between Yangtze and Huaxia plate,and on the northwestern side of the Jiangshan-Shaoxin discordogenic fault.The mine field is a typical skarn Fe ore field.The East and West mine of Lizhu iron ore deposits are stratiform and stratiod separately,locating on the dolomitic and siliceous impure limestone of Dengying Formation where lies in the flanks of Jiangzao-Taoyuan Anticline.The high-grade(enrichied)ore body is situated on the fracture surface of stratums,which is between carbonate rocks of Dengying Formations and siliceous rocks of Changwu or Xinuning Formations.The types of iron ore are mainly garnet magnetite,phlogopite magnetite,magnetite marble and so on.The genetic type of this ore deposit is the sharn-type that has been infiltrated and metasomatic by the hydrotherm after magmatism,and its formation has experienced early-skarn stage,late-sharn stage(magnetite enriched stage)and quartz-sulfide phase.With the development of 3D visualization theory and computer technology,3D geological modeling technology has become a hot issue for domestic and foreign experts and scholars.The establishment of 3D model can not only realize the simple and direct 3D expression of complex geological body,to provide an information,visualization and important research tool for analysis and comprehensive treatment exploration data,deposit regional geological studies and ore reserves estimation,but also has a very important significance for improving the accuracy of mineral exploration research,and the utilization efficiency of mineral exploration results.This paper discusses the application of 3D geological modeling technology,the collection and analysis of Lizhu iron mine for many years to accumulate prospecting and exploration and production exploration of geological mineral data,studies digitizing geological data and the process of 3D modeling,explores the 3D data modeling and data organization model,comparatives analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the existing 3D modeling software,chooses DGSS software using profile and contour reconstruction method,established the 3D geological model of Lizhu iron mine,and on the basis of model estimates the resources reserves,the results shows that iron ore reserves of about 7.9 million,with an average grade of TFe 33.04%.
