The Henglushang landslide, comprised of ? part and ? part, began to creep and deform from 2007, in Baoxing coutry. The material of ? landslide is mainly contained by silty clay, with average depth of 12.31m and volume of 7.13 × 105m3. The material of ? landslide is mainly contained by gravel soil, with average depth of 10.50m and volume of 2.76 × 105m3.The Henglushang landslide belongs to mid-size push-type landslide in middle level, and is currently in the stage of creep deformation. The landslide poses a great threat to the lives and property of residents in regional areas. Therefore, the study of the genetic mechanism of the landslide and evaluation of stability, and the formulation of prevention measures have important significance. In this study, the Henglushang landslide will be as the object of study. On the basis of the comprehensive analysis of the regional geological background, engineering geological conditions, and field investigation and experimental results, we explored the genetic mechanism of the landslide, and evaluated its stability, and put forward the corresponding solutions. Based on this work, some preliminary acquaintance is following.1. The regional geological structure is complicated. The topography, lithology, meteorological and hydrological factors provided favorable conditions to geological disasters in the gestation and development. In this areas, the geological disaster is prone to happen and human engineering activities are frequent, which reduces the stability of the landslide and induces landslides.2. The Henglushang landslide is composed of I and II parts. The field survey shows that, the overall shape of I landslide is similar to a chair, with the main sliding direction of 94-104° and the slope area of 0.58×105m2. The landslide material is mainly Quaternary eluvial pebbly sillty clay. The average depth of the landslide is 12.31m and volume is 7.13×105m~3.The overall shape of ? landslide is similar to a long tongue, with the main sliding direction of 94° and the slope area of 0.26×105m2. The landslide material is mainly Quaternary eluvial gravel soil. The average depth of the landslide is 10.5m and volume is 2.76×105m3.3. Qualitative analysis shows that the main factors that influence the stability of the Henglushang landslide are rainfall, groundwater, human engineering activities and seismic.Due to the influence of antecedent rainfall erosion and the effect of earthquake and human engineering, landslide body including the material structure has been destroyed, and produced local instability. In case of heavy rain or earthquake, the landslide has the possibility of overall instability.4. The calculation and evaluation of the stability and the thrust on the potential sliding surface is possible by using broken line method. The calculation results show that:The stability index Fs values of No. ? landslide under the condition ? (weight) are > 1.23,the landslide is in a steady state; under the condition ? (weight and groundwater), the Fs values are > 1.26, the landslide is in steady state; under the condition ? (weight + rain and groundwater), the Fs values are 1.03 < FS < 1.10, landslide in the unstable state to a stable state; under the condition IV (dead load and earthquake and groundwater), the Fs values are 1.06 < FS > 1.14, the landslide is in steady state. ? landslide on the whole is less stable to stable state.Under the condition ?, the stability index (Fs value) of No. ? landslide is 1.27, the landslide is in a steady state; under the condition ?, the Fs value is 1.05, the landslide is in steady state; under the condition ?, the Fs value is 1.10, the landslide is in steady state. ?landslide on the whole is in stable state.5. According to the actual situation, it is recommended that the comprehensive treatment of "anti slide pile + cut drainage + partial relocation + monitoring scheme" could be used for the Henglushang landslide.s...
