In recent years,with the implementation of China's western development strategy,a large number of railway,highway,water conservancy and hydropower projects such as construction will inevitably dig a large number of engineering slope.For these project slope not only to take the necessary measures to ensure the slope stability,but also to the slope of green protection for further study to effectively restore the natural ecological environment.In this paper,the mechanics mechanism of the grassland of the herbaceous plants was discussed,and the reinforcement effect of the plant roots on the shallow soil slope was evaluated,which provided the theoretical basis for the plant slope protection project.As the plant roots have a certain range of influence,generally less than 2m,so the plant slope protection is mainly to protect the shallow unstable slope.In this paper,the root system of herbaceous plants was studied,and the mechanical properties of soil after adding root system were discussed.The influence of root system on slope stability was analyzed.The basic mechanics model of root soil is established,and the finite element method is used to simulate the direct shear test and compressive test of root soil.The changes of mechanical parameters in root soil are studied in detail,including different root length,root distribution density,root tilt angle.The cohesion and internal friction angle of the soils with different root forms were compared with those of the non-root soils.It was found that the roots were distributed vertically in the soil and the number of roots was increased.The longer the soil reinforcement effect is better.The influence of different root morphology on the shear strength of soils and the variation law of root-soil composite elastic modulus under different root morphology were studied by changing the law of cohesion and internal friction angle.Finally,the parameters of root soils are applied to the actual slope,and the stability of different root system slope is analyzed by strength reduction method.The changes of mechanical parameters of soils with different root morphology are discussed.Slope stability.It is found that the longer the length of the plant root in the slope,the higher the number,the higher the slope stability;the greater the slope of the root,the worse the slope stability.Based on the basic mechanical properties of soil model with different root morphology,the mechanism of plant root slope protection is studied in detail,and the actual effect of surface soil reinforcement is analyzed,which provides a theoretical basis for ecological slope protection.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out the research and application of plant slope protection technology.
