The paper based on the latest results of tectonic geology, sedimentary, logging geology and seismic geology, through field geological observation and two-dimensional and three-dimensional seismic reflection profile, combined with regional structural characteristics analysis,to study the characteristics of salt rock and salt tectonic development in Karasu Structural belt,Kuqa Depression. The study shows that the deformation characteristics of the salt structure in the Kelasu tectonic belt in the Kuqa Depression are: the main development of the salt anticline and the salt piercing structure in the western section. The eastern section of the deep tectonic area for the thick salt accumulation, the formation of Triangle salt body, and the development of thrust salt; The structure of the Keshen 5 is in the transition zone of the two, which has the characteristics of salt piercing and thick salt rock belt. The salt layer plays an important role in the deformation of the salt structure of the Claszu tectonic belt in the Kuqa Depression, which regulates the difference of the tectonic deformation of the overburden and salt base.It is the main slip-off layer that also provides salt source for salt anticline and salt-dipping.In the study area, there are two gypsum-salt rock layer with the lithology obviously changed, the plastic structure is strong, and the thickness of the layers is obviously changed. In the formation of gypsum slippery layer as the main body of the structural layer at the same time, the lower layer of salt is also developed Jurassic coal slippery layer. In consider of the role of the slippery layer, the interpretation model of the double-slippery tectonic structure controlled by the gypsum-salt rock and coal measure strata is proposed, and a geological interpretation model of the typical profile is established according to the characteristics of the multi-slip layer in the Kuqa area.
