The Haihe and the Yellow River,as the main source of the Bohai sediments,has transported large amounts of terrigenous clastic materials,and carrieried many information of source rocks,river basin environment,climatic conditions,depositional environment and many other information.Study on provenance of the Haihe River and the Yellow River sediments is of great significance to distinguish sources of the sediments in Bohai sea,during the study for understanding of environmental change and the interaction of the basis coastal and land that provide qualitative and quantitative evidents.At present,the Haihe River sediments is less studied,especially the study of detrital mineral deposit is more scarce,There is not a systematic comparison analysis according to the sediments of the Haihe River and the Yellow River.Through the surface sediments of the Haihe River(Haihe River?Ziya River?Yongding new River?C haobai River?Jiyun River?Duliujian River),and the Yellow River,the Haihe River flow14 samples,the Yellow River flow 8 samples.Based on the 22 surface sediment samples,using screening-sedimentation method,the heavy liquid separation method,X ray diffraction method,gravimetric method,ICP-OES and ICP-MS,comprehensive analysis the grain size characteristics,detrital minerals characteristics,clay minerals characteristics,carbonate content and elemental geochemical characteristics.preliminarily discussed the material source and sedimentary environment of the study area and find out the distinction index of the Haihe River and the Yellow River sediments.The results show that:(1)The Haihe River sediments are finer than the Yellow River,The sediments of the Haihe River are mainly composed of fine silt,and the sediments of the Yellow River are dominated by coarse silt.By comparing the mineral characteristics of clastic sediments analysis found that sediment detrital mineral genesis of the Haihe River system is relatively concentrated,the average content of heavy minerals is 1.04% lower than the 3.70% in the Yellow River,and the hornblende limonite epidote actinolite is the main characte ristic of mineral,the content of limonite is 10.67% higher than that of the Yellow River;the Yellow River sediments by loess,Haihe River Sediments of amphibole mineral content of 52.82% higher than the Yellow River35.70%,7.17% lower than the content o f mica minerals in the Yellow River in 17.62%,according to the content and distribution of detrital minerals can be qualitatively distinguished from Haihe River and the Yellow River sediments.(2)Comparative analysis of Haihe River and the Yellow River sediment characteristics of clay minerals in sediments of the Haihe River system,the average content of illite is lower than 59% of the Department of the Yellow River 62%,the content of montmorillonite clay minerals in sediments of the minimum size of the Haihe River is higher than in the Yellow River,Western Bohai Bay clay minerals are mainly on the Haihe River,the Yellow River small Western Bohai Bay sediment clay minerals,clay minerals the characteristics of sediment can be used to qualitatively distinguish of Haihe River and the Yellow River source.(3)Analysis and comparison of carbonate content characteristics of the Yellow River through the Haihe River,the Haihe River system and the the Yellow River Department of carbonates content is higher,the Haihe River system is slightly higher than that of the Yellow River,the granularity of carbonate content are fine grain size increased,in part to the enrichment of clay,carbonate like the maximum contribution size for the Yellow River coarse silt,fine silt.(4)The content of trace elements in sediments of the Haihe River and the Yellow River features comparative analysis of trace elements in the Haihe River sediments is higher than that the sediments in the Yellow River,the contents of elements Zn,C u,Cd,Cs and Tl are significantly different from those of the Yellow River,and the Haihe River and the Yellow River sediments trace element relative standard deviation is large.The Yellow River characteristics of loess deposits by influence,Ca,Sr Zr,H f,Na,element content is slightly higher than that of the Haihe River.
