A certain mining area in Longzi country,Shannan city in Tibet is close to the sino-indian border,belongs to the Himalayan orogenic belt,which has a good metallogenic prospect.But the geological activities of the mining area is frequent,the fault is more,the strata are broken,the altitude is high,the night temperature is low,the drilling fluid is easy to freeze in the low temperature environment,the drilling fluid is difficult to meet the drilling requirements,and even the possibility of freezing drill.This has seriously affected the mine drilling work carried out smoothly.The development of drilling fluid suitable for the drilling operation in the low temperature environment of the mine is the technical guarantee for the drilling work in the mining area.It is not only required that the drilling fluid has good rheological properties under low temperature conditions,but also requires the drilling fluid to have good retaining wall sealing performance.It is also required to have a certain degree of water sensitivity when drilling a water-sensitive formation.Through access to information,combined with the actual situation of mining,we have selected three sets of formulations that may meet the low temperature environment drilling fluid and made a few aspects of research:(1)The corresponding low temperature environment drilling fluid was prepared and the performance of the drilling fluid was tested in the laboratory and field.The performance parameters of the drilling fluid were obtained.The drilling fluid performance parameters can meet the requirements(2)Combined with the actual construction of the production,to find low-temperature drilling fluid in the construction site of the preparation method,and its application in the actual construction production,on-site construction demonstration.(3)The relevant construction production data were obtained when the low temperature environment drilling fluid was used for construction and production,compared with the relevant construction production data in the previous year when the drilling fluid was used,and the practical performance of the drilling fluid was observed by contrast.The special environment of the plateau has a profound impact on drilling construction organization,drilling equipment and drilling technology.The study shows that the low temperature drilling fluid can meet the drilling construction requirements of the mine,The use of the low temperature drilling fluid,the mining area drilling efficiency increased by 15%-25%,pure diamond rate increased by 10%-20%,comprehensive economic indicators fell by about 10%,and achieved good results.In addition,this article also provides some technical reference for plateau drilling.
