Detection of change in land use is of great significance of the management and use of land resources in China.Current detection methods of remote sensing image based on non-continuous time and artificial classification which is low degree of automation and less time continuity.In this paper,the intensity of land use change detection method based on time series research was proposed.And we took 13 provinces or municipalities directly under the central government in central China as the research area,carried out applied research using MODIS data from 2002 to 2014 in 500m resolution.The main research content is as follows:1.To establish a kind of vegetation mapping through developing indices of temporal dispersion.By fully exploiting the time series characteristics of different types of vegetation,establishments of more characterization of temporal dispersion and temporal indicators.Then,combining different types of vegetation in different stages of growth characteristics,these combined realizations of automatic extraction of vegetation information based on remote sensing images.Using ground survey points to validate the overall accuracy of 88.51%method of high precision.Meanwhile,for the following land use change detection indicator of the intensity of support.2.Set up a kind of land use intensity change detection method based on time series.Firstly,based on the multi dimension information provided by the remote sensing vegetation index time series,the five indexes were established:vegetation growth abundance,time series dispersion degree,duration,brightness and length of vegetation growth.Then,use these indexes to depict the change characteristics for change of land use intensity,and establish different rules on the change tables for the changes and identify.Finally,completed a study on land use change detection by the rules.Using ground survey points and high-resolution Google Earth image verification,the overall accuracy of 87.57%,indicates that the detected changes and time has a good fit with the actual situation.3.Analysis of years of change in land use in the study area are the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics.The changes that occurred in 2008 in the study area land use intensity area reached 12355km2.The correlation coefficient between China's economic development speed and intensity of land use change area reached 0.64,a strong positive correlation between the average and the land use intensity changes over the years have no obvious trend.Through the analysis of land use intensity changes around the mainly city,can provide support for the regional research and development planning in the future.
