Ocean modeling is the main research content of the virtual ocean scene and simulating the fluctuation on the ocean surface is the major content of ocean modeling. However, some special phenomena, such as wave foam, ship wakes, play an important role in the reality of the virtual ocean scene. So the investigation of ocean's special phenomenon comes to be a main content for simulating the ocean realistically.This paper aims at problems and weaknesses of existing methods for ocean wave foam simulation and ship wave imitation, so research the new method for three dimensional ship wave and wave foam emulation. This paper simulates three dimensional ship waves and the ocean foam on the Osg Ocean development platform.The main tasks of this thesis:First, this paper advances a measure for three dimensional ship waves simulation based on the Kelvin theory. The measure models the three dimensional ship wave, meanwhile takes into account wind velocity, wind direction and ship move direction and ship type factors. The three dimensional model compute coordinate of points on the wave crest and the point between peaks, thus the experiment outcome proves that the method can simulate the ship wave realistically.Second, this paper brings forward a method for imitating ship foams on the basis of cellular automata theory and multiparticle model. This method imitates the ship foam, considering the effect of ship speed for sprays in the ship's different position, on the base of cellular automata theory and multiparticle method and according to the natural essence of interaction between ship and water. The simulation result proves this method can simulate the ship spray in the head, afterbody and hull automatically and veritably.Moreover, on the basis of the home analysis of Osg Ocean on aspects of software framework and procedure flow interaction, this paper actualizes the three dimensional ship wave model and wave foams stired by moving ship on the Osg Ocean platform. This experiment result validates the correctness and the validity of methods about three dimensional ship wave simulation and special foam phenomena emulation.
