| Kaili biota is one of the three largest Burgess Shale biotas in the world. In Kaili biota, the arthropod animal is the most important fossil category, which can be classified into 68 generas. There are 10 generas of Large Bivalved Arthropods Animals, which are also the most important group of arthropod. Except Tuzoia Walcott, 1922, there are 9 generas, including Perspicaris Briggs, 1977, Isoxys Walcott, 1912, Canadaspis Novozhilov in Orov, 1960; Occacaris Hou,1999;Forfexicaris Hou,1999;Combinivalvula Hou,1987;Alicaris Zhang et Hou in Hou al.,1991;Pseudoarctolepis Brooks et Caster,1956; Waptia Walcott,1912. This paper is a restudy on the non insect Large Bivalved Arthropods Animals which belongs to Kaili biota, In this paper, we will describe 9 generas 13 specieses of the large bivalved arthropod animals in the Kaili biota, including 1 new species,4 similar species and 1 undetermined species:Canadaspis granlus sp. nov.;Perspicaris cf. dictynna;Isoxys cf. auritus;Isoxys granulus;Combinivalvula taijiangensis;Occacaris oviformis; Occacaris cf. oviformis;Occacaris magnus;Forfexicaris reticulate;Alicaris kailiensis;Pseudoarctolepis semicircularis;Waptia sp.To identify the composition of Large Bivalved Arthropod Animals in the Kaili biota,Tuzoia, Canadaspis and Occacaris are the most common specieses, whose number distributions respectively account for 21.38%, 17.44% and 17.44% of the total amount, the sum of these three is more than a half of the total. The local genus of the species Occacaris has 3 specieses, which has the highest degree of diversity. The composition characteristics of the Large Bivalved Arthropod Animals in Kaili biota is mainly about Tuzoia Walcott, 1912, Occacaris Hou, 1999, Canadaspis Novozhilov in Orlov, 1960. they are different from Burgess biota, which is mainly composed by IsoxysWalcott,1912 and Perspicaris Briggs,1977, and Chengjiang biota, which is mainly composed by Isoxys Walcott,1912, Occacaris Hou,1999, Forfexicaris Hou, 1999. The further study on the large bivalved arthropod animals not only provides new materials for Kaili Biota in biological composition appearance, but also enables us to provide new materials for large bivalved arthropod animals in the era of evolution and in the community composition. |
