Climate warming and biological invasion are the two big environment problems in the world today.Climate warming significantly affects insect's development, dynamics, distribution and damages.Providing with obviously physiological or ecological advantages, most inasive insect species are easier to adapt to the environment change pressure in the face of climate warming. As a consequence, the invasive population has been shifting both on biology and ecology, which causes the corresponding control methods to be updated or adjusted. Therefore, study on effect of climate warming on population of an invasive insect species has been emerging as a hot topic both on science and application. This lecture are focus on a key scientific issues that concerns the effects of climate warming on the population development and reproduction of an urban invasive insect species, the sycamore lace bug,Corythucha ciliate(Say). This pest is a new invasive pest that was native to temperate regions and now invades widely in subtropical China and feeds on Platanus trees seriously in China.Appling the theories and methods,I studied shifts of the occurrence, development and fecundity of the bugs in response to rising temperatures under climate warming.According to these studies,we want to analyze and forecast the future population trends for this pest on climate warming. The results may be useful to the long-term warning and management for C.ciliata, and alsoprovide scientific information for understanding the relationship between climate change and insect pest's invasions. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1?In order to elucidate the phenological synchrony effect of climate warming for phytophagous insects sycamore Corythucha ciliata invasion and its host plant sycamore, oserved with 2 years of time in the spring in semi wild conditions. Results found that under conditions of air warming2 °C and increasing soil temperature 1.7 °C,overwintering adults and host plant leaf expansion synchronization in advance. In addition, environmental warming also promoted the overwintering adults reproduction and offspring development and survival. The experimental results show that the spring warming cased corythuchaciliate and host sycamore phenology synchronization in advance. The phenological plasticity of alien invasive insect species invasive species may promoted the population expansion, and the environment of future climate warming may brought serious and disastrous consequences for plants.2?In order to clear the effects of summer periodic high temperature for sycamore Arcypteridae bug life history of population, used artificial climate box simulation four different warming models and observed the temperature changes, changes in extreme high temperature, and both combination influences of insect sycamore Dictyoptera bug population adaptability of intrusion.Experimental insects comed from three differentgeographical regions of the Yangtze River Basin, including Shanghai(represented the lower reaches of the Yangtze River Basin),Wuhan(represented the middle reaches of the Yangtze River Basin),and Chongqing(represented the lower reaches of the Yangtze River Basin). The results show that the average temperature increase, frequent high temperature events and both interactions are possible by keeping sycamore Arcypteridae bug population fecundity, promote the growth and development of the insect then led to a certain richness increased. Therefore,in China,Corythucha ciliata species maybe expand to those low latitude regions where have a large number of host plant species.Summer temperature rise may promote the expansion species of some warm invasiving insects.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the above results, this paper considers that sycamore Arcypteridae bug has strong ecological plasticity and high temperature tolerance, warm spring not only did not break the spring phenological synchrony of the insects and the host plant tree but also made its phenology ahead of schedule,it also promoted the development and survival of the overwintering adults of reproduction and offspring.Summer temperature rise and frequent high temperature events not only can limit the insect species survival and reproduction, but also promote the insect growth and development, promote the insect outbreak. We speculated that under the environment of global warming, sycamoreCorythucha ciliata species richness in China will further increase, distribution range may be further expanded and related prevention and control measures need to be further strengthened, with no insect invasion regiongs need to do early warming and prevention work.
