Study On Quality Inspection And Evaluation Methods Of Real Maps Data

Maps are publications which include politics, science and utility. A right map is the symbol of national sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the embodiment of national sovereignty. But for several of reasons, map products have different degrees of quality problems. Maps' elements need to be carefully examined and evaluated before public offering. The examining and evaluating system also need to adapt to the map products' changes, as well as the trend of development and updating. The examining and evaluating principles need to strictly follow the relevant state regulations on the confidentiality requirements. The examining and evaluating methods need to meet the development trend of electronic maps, web maps, mobile maps, and three-dimensional real map.Real map, as a new kind of map product, can show a much more real city images to users, so it has a wide application prospect. However, the traditional maps' examining methods are not fit for real maps. At present, there is no uniform standard and method of real maps flow for each map production unit.This article mainly studied and showed a method of real map's quality examining and evaluating, as well as the quality evaluating system. Firstly, it stated the basic structure and classification of GIS, as well as the meaning of GIS data's examining. Secondly, it stated the unique nature and the quality features of real maps. Thirdly, it stated the real map's overall unified inspection standards, principles, means and methods. Finally, it built a quality evaluation system of real map products, and built a collection of various elements of the quality of the algorithm library and rule base under the system, by way of the inputting source data, combining with the model automatic evaluation and manual analysis of the comprehensive evaluation of real map final quality grade.This paper provides some new ideas and methods for quality inspection and assessment of real map products.
